1. Once you have started seeing the beauty of life, ugliness starts disappearing. If you start looking at life with joy, sadness starts disappearing. You cannot have heaven and hell together, you can have only one. It is your choice. Osho

2. So whether you do your first downward dog at 14 or 44, it’s not your history but your presence on your mat that counts. Pattabhi Jois

4. Yoga is a way to freedom. By its constant practice, we can free ourselves from fear, anguish and loneliness. Indra Devi

6. Undisturbed calmness of mind is attained by cultivating friendliness toward the happy, compassion for the unhappy, delight in the virtuous, and indifference toward the wicked. The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali

7. Meditation is painful in the beginning but it bestows immortal Bliss and supreme joy in the end. Swami Sivananda

8. Try to treat with equal love all the people with whom you have relations. Thus the abyss between ‚myself‘ and ‚yourself‘ will be filled in, which is the goal of all religious worship. Sri Anandamayi Ma

14. Let my soul smile through my heart and my heart smile through my eyes, that I may scatter rich smiles in sad hearts. Paramahansa Yogananda

15. You have to grow from the inside out. None can teach you, none can make you spiritual. There is no other teacher but your own soul. Swami Vivekananda

16. It is through gratitude for the present moment that the spiritual dimension of life opens up. Eckhart Tolle

17. Part of spiritual and emotional maturity is recognizing that it’s not like you’re going to try to fix yourself and become a different person. You remain the same person, but you become awakened. Jack Kornfield
